Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic
The Jack & Julia Center at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland is the only center in Northern California that offers case management and comprehensive care to patients with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) at a centralized location. We assist the patient’s primary care doctor in addressing those aspects of TSC that affect health and development.
The J & J Center was founded with the understanding that the medical concerns and development of individuals with TSC are unique and therefore require specialized care. Research has shown that the learning disabilities and disorders of the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys and other organs experienced by people with TSC differ from similar conditions in individuals without this genetic disease. Our specialists are experienced in meeting the medical, developmental, psychological and social needs of patients with TSC in a comprehensive and coordinated manner.
