(back row, left to right) Thea Daniels and Christine Johnston are Family Resource & Information Center coordinators. Susana Garcia (front) is FRIC's bi-lingual specialist, who helps families who speak only Spanish to navigate the hospital environment.
FRIC has computers for you to use to check your email, surf the Internet and do research.
Located across from the Friendly Café on the second floor, the Family Resource & Information Center provides information, support, referrals, and access to books, magazines, pamphlets, videos, and the Internet. It’s a place to go for research, recreation, and respite from hospital routine. We encourage you to stop by.
The center also offers information about neighborhood services near Children's Hospital, such as where to eat, shop, do laundry – even where you can have family fun before or after a hospital visit.
The Family Resource & Information Center hosts family coffee hours, knitting workshops and other family events. A bi-lingual specialist is on hand to help families who speak only Spanish.
